The North Houston Suburban Associates of Jack and Jill of America is partnering with Black Health Matters and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals to co-host a free, online “Know Your Genetic Health History” informational session on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 am – 11:30 am.  Please read the attached flier about this program and register here: http://bit.ly/BHMvirtualprogram926

Approximately 1 in every 25 of African Americans carries a gene mutation that puts them at increased risk for developing an inherited, progressively debilitating heart disease called hereditary ATTR (hATTR) amyloidosis.  This is an often-fatal condition that disproportionally impacts our community.

We invite you to learn more about this hereditary condition by attending the virtual “Know Your Genetic Health History” event. It will include a presentation by a cardiologist and a patient ambassador, information on how to get hATTR genetic testing, and a Q&A session.

Please register for this free program today at this link: http://bit.ly/BHMvirtualprogram926
